Qualified Dental Nurses typically have a minimum 2 years experience from enrolling onto their course, completing their exams and getting registered. Therefore our minimum requirement is 2 years of dental experience. We also provide continued development and training for our newer registrants or those who wish to have a refresher course in the field.

All Locums must be able to provide the following: Photo ID, Right to Work Documentation, Immunisation History, GDC number, Indemnity, DBS, Proof of Employment. This will be covered during your Enrollment with us.

You need to be able to be adaptable and comfortable working in different environments. Practices will usually follow the same protocols however there may be some differences such as Equipment, Routine and Working Methods. You also need to be Friendly towards staff and patients alike. Locums that are favourable are those who are tolerant to change and can be proactive – stepping out of one’s comfort zone, asking questions and using initiative whilst carrying out services/tasks at practice. Being punctual and attending bookings regularly when accepted will boost your booking offers.

We can help you with applying for your GDC number and your application. Once received, we can enroll you at Dentico Dental Agency and provide you with skills and training to support you with your Dental Journey.

We believe in offering our nurses (new and experienced) continued development and training.  We will support you with your CPD Portfolio and refresher powerpoint presentations to keep you up to date in line with legislation such as HTM-01-05, Record Keeping, Health & Safety and Infection Control.

Welcome to the UK and your journey to becoming GDC Registered! Most overseas dentists will register with the GDC to have a Dental Hygienist/Therapist License to practice in Dentistry. Whilst the application process can take several months, many applicants choose to enroll on a Dental Nurse course for the interim to gain valuable experience working and get familar with UK Software systems. Many also apply to complete their ORE I and II exams which can also take a bit of time. 

We welcome overseas professionals who have a GDC number (either as a DCP or Dental Nurse). Minimum experience required of 1 year (exceptions apply) so you can start sooner!

We appreciate that many dental practices may not always be flexible with the hours or pay you need. You may also find yourself ‘Laid off’ in the event of practice closure or cancelled clinics. We can provide work for you on these ocassions with our Flexi Contract- 0 hours. No obligations to commit and completely flexible for you and your work commitments!

Suitable for working individuals for part time hours or childcare shortened hours. No minimum day requirements with us. Need a boost of income for odd shifts? We are your Agency to join!
